How Bangkok Airways grew organic traffic220%
Asia's Boutique Airline needed its website and blog to do more than promote flights: to be found by travellers researching trips in both Thai and English. A redesign, a bilingual content strategy, link building and ongoing maintenance took organic visits from 5,000 to 17,000 a month.

Steady growth, not a one-off spike
Turn a boutique airline's website into a growth engine
Bangkok Airways, "Asia's Boutique Airline," Thailand's regional carrier known for its boutique lounges and destinations across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
The website and blog promoted flights but did not answer the questions travellers ask while planning a trip, so research-stage demand went to third-party booking platforms. Closing that gap meant a comprehensive silo for each destination, in Thai and English, organised around traveller intent.
A full website redesign paired with a bilingual (Thai & English) content strategy, ongoing link building, and website maintenance to keep performance and rankings compounding.
220% organic traffic growth, from 5,000 to 17,000 monthly visits.
Covering the whole research journey, not just the booking page
Travellers rarely start with a flight number. They start with a place and a question: where to go in the south for a long weekend, when the rain eases in Krabi, what there is to do in Luang Prabang in three days. By the time a route and a date are settled, the decision has largely been made, and it is often made somewhere else.
Bangkok Airways’ website and blog were built to promote flights. That serves the traveller who already knows where they are going, but it leaves the far larger group still deciding, and those people were reaching third-party booking platforms first.
So the work was structural rather than cosmetic. Each destination needed a comprehensive silo organised around traveller intent rather than the route map: a pillar page for the destination, supporting content for the questions that surround a trip, and internal links routing all of it back to the flights that serve it. Building that twice over, in Thai and in English, against booking platforms with far greater domain authority, was the challenge.
